Professional photographer Mac Bouchere was welcomed back to Dawlish & Teignmouth Camera Club to judge their 3rd Open competition. Mac, who has been a regular visitor to the club, is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and a Western Counties Photo Club judge and speaker.

Mac’s candid comments and helpful suggestions for improvements gave members food for thought about their images and future compositions. He also explained how important it is from a judging perspective for an image to have the right title as this gives a steer to what the photographer wants you to see in their image.

A total of 57 prints were submitted to the Colour and Monochrome categories with the following awards being given:

Colour Prints

Gold – Leslie Cooper

Silver – Howard Sheard, Bob Normand

Bronze – Gwynneth Chubb, Nigel West, Bob Normand, Leslie Cooper

Monochrome Prints

Gold – Ken Holland

Silver – Jackie Ridley, Tony Wilson

Bronze – Nigel West, Tejas Earp, Edward Chorlton

The club meets on a Wednesday evening at Holcombe Village Hall and new members are always welcome. Feel free to contact us for more details.
