Pretty as a postcard


Members of Dawlish & Teignmouth Camera Club had their submissions for the Set Subject Competition judged by John Hawkins from Newton Abbot Camera Club this week.

The theme of Postcard pictures for the prints saw contributions from locations as far as Washington DC and Lake Garda, as well as those closer to home from Teignmouth and Dawlish. Members had used some creative designs for their postcards, including a triptych and a vintage poster effect.

The digital images were given the intriguing remit of Low Down, which resulted in a variety of comical submissions, including Dachshunds, snails and feet!

Judge John Hawkins commented on what a good idea the set subjects are and praised the club for the variety of imagery produced. It made for an interesting evening of judging with the following results:
