Somerset and Beyond - Matilda Temperley. 

Matilda’s personal work is inspired by marginalised societies and her work regularly appears in international publications.  Her book Under the Surface - Somerset Floods won the Royal Photographic Society’s Vic Odden Award. She has also published Omo - Change in the Valley and The League of Exotic Dancers - Legends of the American Burlesque.

Tips and techniques for your photography.  An in-house evening to inspire you.

Time-lapse and mountain photography with Alex Nail. 

Alex is a full time landscape photographer and time-lapse film maker. His work is used by companies and conservation organisations including Visit Britain and the Woodland Trust. He has a passion for backpacking, wilderness and mountain areas and leads photography workshops worldwide.

A professional photographer, writer, mentor and workshop leader, his career is a twisty road of unplanned creative self-expression.  He is a Fotospeed ambassador that can help turn the most ordinary and uninspiring of subjects into photographic gold.

George believes that photography should be fun and his accomplished images include sports action, African wildlife, bird photography and steam locomotives. He also founded f8.

Wildlife photography. A themed critique evening.

Salt of the Earth.  We will watch this internationally co-produced biographical documentary about Sebastião Salgado, directed by Wim Wenders and Salgado's son Juliano Ribeiro Salgado.

Fragments of an American Dream. Tony Worobiec FRPS

Tony’s work has appeared in more than 100 magazines here and in the US.  A passionate traveller, he has made frequent visits to the USA with his wife Eva, documenting the depopulating of areas.  Ghosts in the Wilderness; Abandoned America was favourably reviewed and followed up by Fragments of the American Dream - reinvestigating the same area looking for changes.

Landscape and astrophotography in Dorset with Stephen Banks. 

Liverpool-born, Bridport-based Stephen Banks has been photographing the night skies of Dorset since the winter of 2011/12 and will show Dorset as you’ve never seen it before.

‘Guilty Pleasures’ set subject competition of prints and digital images. Judged by Ian Bateman.

Wednesday 8th April

A wet night in. Spike (AFIAP DPAGB) and Penny (EFIAP DPAGB) Piddock. An evening all about the trials and tribulations of underwater photography.  Penny is a scuba diver and Spike a photographic diver and will together show their underwater photographs and discuss technicalities.

A practical evening and photographic workshop.


Wednesday 29th April 

Travel photography. A themed critique evening.


Wednesday 6th May

Image of the Year competition. Prints and digital images. Judged by Gordon Aspland at from Newton Abbot (was to be John Kelley)
